supertux won't start without --disable-sound

When I invoke supertux on NetBSD 3.0_RC5 (with xorg), it says:

> Couldn't read /proc/self/exe, using default path: /usr/pkg/share/supertux
> Datadir: /usr/pkg/share/supertux
> Warning: Unable to open the file "/home/geert/.supertux/config" for read!!!
> Warning: No joysticks are available.
>
> Error: Couldn't load musicfile
> /usr/pkg/share/supertux/music/SALCON.MOD
>
> zsh: abort supertux

Whereas /usr/pkg/share/supertux/music/SALCON.MOD is there, is readable, and
according to file:

> /usr/pkg/share/supertux/music/SALCON.MOD: Fasttracker II module sound data

supertux --disable-sound seems to work fine though. Anyone else having the
same problem, or is it a problem with my particular setup?

        Geert
