Import into wip/skipstone
Log Message:
SkipStone is a Gtk+ Web Browser that embeds Mozilla's rendering component
Gecko. It aims to be light and fast with few dependencies.
SkipStone is currently under heavy development, but its progressing quickly
and coming along nicely. It provides a nice and simple configurable interface,
bookmarks and all of the other mandantory browsing features.
Geert,
Thanks for packaging this. In fact, it used to be in pkgsrc/www but was
removed because of lack of development and it stopped building and no
maintenance.
I just built your package on NetBSD/i386 2.0.2 and received:
/usr/pkg/bin/skipstone-bin: -lgtkembedmoz => not found
-lplds4 => not found
-lplc4 => not found
-lnspr4 => not found
-lxpcom => not found
*** The above programs/libs will not find the listed shared libraries
at runtime. Please fix the package (add -Wl,-R.../lib in the right
places)!
*** Error code 1
This was caused by the testing when setting
PKG_DEVELOPER=yes
Nevertheless, I see that the skipstone shell script sets the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH and so it does work.
Maybe anyways the RPATH should still be built into the executable.
I didn't try, but maybe set:
LDFLAGS+= ${COMPILER_RPATH_FLAG}${PREFIX}/lib/${MOZILLA}
The past couple months I have been using firefox, galeon, and kazehakase
-- and now I am glad to try skipstone again. I hope to find a browser that
I like. (My wife uses Konqueror, Opera and Firefox as no single browser
meets her needs either.)
Thanks again!

p.s. I also use elinks as my browser of choice. But I upgraded and it is
slow and now it requires pressing Enter before typing on input line.
