   Could you be more specific? What should I be monitoring?

   $ ipcs -a

   Displays a few lines of statistics. I can't see them changing when I
start/quit firefox and/or thunderbird. Though I see some changes when I
start mplayer. Two new lines appear under the "Shared memory" section.
