Well, I feel a bit foolish.
I wiped out the /usr/pkgsrc directory and checked everything out again,
and it worked fine.
I only mentioned it without doing this first because the box was a freshly
installed copy of 4.99.17, and I had never checked anything out on it
prior to this.
