Subject: New maintainer needed: mail/sendmail[812]

I've been pulling out of many of my support duties for pkgsrc
packages, as my computing needs have changed dramatically over the
last year. Probably before the end of 2007, I will no longer be using
sendmail as MTA, so it doesn't make much sense for me to continue
maintaining the mail/sendmail[812] packages. (I also abandoned my
Perl CPAN/Sourceforge project, Sendmail::PMilter, and called for a new
maintainer, though no one has stepped forward as yet.)

Ideally, mail/sendmail should move to 8.14.1 (now released), a
mail/sendmail813 should be created to support the current 8.13.x, and
mail/sendmail812 should be retired. However, I may never upgrade to
8.14 at this point, because all the domains I manage are being
migrated to hosting providers and will not be "run" by me anymore.

I'm asking for someone who does actively use sendmail to take over
maintainership of these packages. You will need to respond to
security announcements regarding patches or new releases, since
sendmail is still a critical component of some production-grade
systems.

If you're interested, please reply directly to me; I'm no longer on
pkgsrc-users.
