How many times have you not seen the information
placed in a package MESSAGE file because the package
was installed as a dependency and the file was
concatenated between a bunch of autoconf checks?

For me the answer is usually, which is the basis of
this feature request (for discussion before a formal
ticket request).

With a mk.conf option

MAIL_MESSAGE=	y

the MESSAGE file could be mailed at the same time
it's displayed, to the user who generated it.

Is this a useful feature for anyone else?
