Hi,

 I have just installed lyx ( 1.4.3) from pkgsrc current. It seemed to
install ok  with the commands

make install clean clean-depends

When I tried to start it I got the following error message:

$ lyx
LyX: reconfiguring user directory
python: not found
LyX: Done!
LyXTextClassList::Read: unable to find textclass file `'. Exiting.

As far as can tell I have python 2.4 in /usr/pkg/lib, I think this is
the correct version required.

Searching on the net I found there is some sort of bug that causes the
second error message, however this message appears during compiling
under Debian Linux, not after.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Regards,

Alasdair
