Hi Thomas,

This update doesn't build with the base GCC on NetBSD 9.x (and probably
would cause other older compilers to choke, too). I've reported this as
PR pkg/56723.

As for the PAM option, I think perhaps you missed the MESSAGE output
that security/pam-pwauth_suid provides? It explains that it's necessary
to place the configuration file. This isn't ideal, but it's a
consequence of pkgsrc insisting files should not be installed directly
under /etc. (x11/mate-screensaver, on the other hand, also has the same
dependency, but breaks pkgsrc norms by reaching over and installing to
/etc/pam.d directly. Then there's the whole topic of how the MESSAGE
framework isn't ideal.)

Anyway, I'm not sure what you'd suggest we improve given these
constraints? 6.02 with the PAM option enabled does work for me on
NetBSD 9.99.93, I've just tested it.

Regards,

Dave
