Sorry about that!

My change fixed the build on SmartOS/illumos where the pkgsrc libevent has patches and workarounds that the libevent bundled with MySQL is missing.
Since the package already included "../../devel/libevent/buildlink3.mk“ I assumed that it also should use that instead of the bundled version.

I’ll commit your fix and install a NetBSD system later to see if I can figure out why it can’t link the builtin version.
