So, this is pretty obviously something to discuss more fully and perhaps
do *after* the branch is cut.  We've had way too much instability
impacting bulk builds so far with the fontconfig/freetype2/bz2 bug, and
I don't think cleanup is worth risking more.

I'm not saying you're off and that we should be keeping it.  Just a far
weaker suggestion that the risk of trouble is too high during a freeze.
