Hmm...
Without your change, if PKG_OPTIONS.gs_type=ghostscript-agpl is
in /etc/mk.conf, ghostscript-agpl build for me.


Do you have PKG_DEFAULT_OPTIONS in your /etc/mk.conf?
It may conflict with PKG_OPTIONS.gs_type.


Many options.mk's have .if !empty(PKG_OPTIONS:M...) lines.
There is no .if !empty(PKG_OPTIONS_VAR:M..) line in current pkgsrc tree.
.if !empty(PKG_OPTIONS_VAR:M...) may be wrong.

I will revert your change.
