As I have the non-shareware doom wads on my computer (which includes 
doom1.wad) I wouldn't want/need to install doom1, so maybe it should be an
optional dependance (i.e. PKG_DEFAULT_OPTIONS+= -doomwad ), the same goes 
for having prboom depend on doom1.

PS. did you mean to remove doom1.wad from the PLIST
