Let me know but I'm thinking I should revert that.  I can't find where 
in the source code the missing functions are even called!  They're not 
there in gcc.c and running find over the entire gcc-4.4.1 source tree 
doesn't show them so I'm a bit at a loss.  Maybe there is something else 
in your solaris build log that may give a clue?
