I've been getting SEGVs on i386, in ff_x264_deblock_v_luma_sse2.
This was easily reproducible with DVDStyler-1.7.3rc2 (which is
not in pkgsrc yet, unfortunately the last stable version does
not build against the ffmpeg snapshot in pkgsrc), when selecting
a background for the DVD menu.
gcc-4.1 does definitely create wrong code -- I've been dealing
with that stuff in liboil a while ago. On amd64 the initial
stack alignment could help, but I don't know what happens
if _m128 variables are mixed with other allocations in the same
stackframe.

Matthias

Btw, it is not a good idea to strip me from the mail recipient
list if the question is directed to me.
