Hi,

for what it's worth saying it, I did try it yesterday (as I already
tried morgan's and had issues).

Conclusion : it works like a *** charm *** !!!

I did FTP transfers the whole night and got between 60 and 80MBits (on
a 100MBits LAN with RJ45 cable running all over my appartment ;).

When I tried Morgan's initial patches, I quickly got some timeout()
messages which finally led to no network at all. It also acted this way
under FreeBSD-6. We did try to solve it (thX morgan) but never got a
decent solution.

Note that I had GENERIC.MPACPI (to have ACPI configured) and the module
didn't load because it said it was incompatible with MP mode. So I
switched to GENERIC and it went up OK. Maybe there's should be a note in
MESSAGE ?

I run a Shuttle SN85G4v3 :
