It may; but that should have been addressed before subversion was moved
into the tree. I emailed about this before because not only is db4 broken
on PowerPC, but it's a many, many hour compile on m68k and vax.

I think that apr should use and include db4 if and only if it is already
in the system, but not otherwise; if that can be done easily, then
subversion could require db4, and apr can be built with db4. Otherwise, I
suppose another apr package which uses db4 could be added. Not sure what
the best way to handle this is, but I think it's safe to say that many
times the number of people who use Apache are affected than the number of
people who use subversion.

Not that I have anything against subversion, but I thought it was
generally understood that things don't get added if they break stuff...

Ideas?
