I like the idea of bulk runs running package test suites.  

I do wonder, though, if there is not a need for something akin to BUILD_DEPENDS such as 'TEST_DEPENDS'.
There are frequently tests that need additional build time dependencies in order to be useful.
Perhaps a subject to continue on tech-pkg@?
