I don't know how this can happen, and I can't reproduce it.
There is:
cd ${WRKSRC};
${FIND} . \( -name '*.orig' -o -name '*.bak' \) -exec ${RM} -f {} \;

in do-build

>          /usr/pkg/share/examples/rc.d/netdisco

Fixed.
