NetBSD vps 11.0_RC4 NetBSD 11.0_RC4 (GENERIC) #0: Tue May 12 04:23:51 UTC 2026  mkrepro%mkrepro.NetBSD.org@localhost:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC amd64
>Description:
I have updated my VPS server to NetBSD 11.0_RC4 (there were no problems during the upgrade). After this, I've updated my pkgin repository to https://cdn.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/amd64/11.0/All and did "pkgin update; pkgin upgrade". It all went smooth. Since then my haproxy crashes randomly without logging anything anywhere. I've run it in foreground for few hours and it did print out:

/usr/src/crypto/external/apache2/openssl/dist/ssl/record/methods/tls_common.c:1902: OpenSSL internal error: Assertion failed: rl->nextwbuf >= rl->numwpipes || TLS_BUFFER_get_left(&rl->wbuf[rl->nextwbuf]) == 0
[1]   Abort trap              haproxy -db -f /usr/pkg/etc/haproxy.cfg

It's loading the same Let's Encrypt wildcard TLS cert it had been using for months before the upgrade.

>How-To-Repeat:
1. Upgrade to NetBSD 11.0_RC4
2. Use haproxy-3.3.5
3. Run haproxy in foreground to capture the error
