Eh, this is on a host with a 10.99.4 kernel (not 9.99.4) and what
appers to be a 9.99.104 user-land.  It's perhaps time to upgrade
the kernel and base os to straight 10.0 and re-try.

It has gcc 10.4.0, while 10.0 has 10.5.0.
