 I'm now on macOS Catalina (10.15), and after removing
 "INSTALL_UNSTRIPPED=yes" from mk.conf (see PR 53691), I can build gcc 8
 at least.  I have not tried gcc versions other than gcc48 and gcc8.
 
 Since gcc48 doesn't build (PR 54684), I now have this in mk.conf as a
 work-around:
 
   PKGSRC_FORTRAN=gfortran
   GFORTRAN_VERSION=8
 
 and with that, packages that require fortran, e.g. numpy, build
 successfully.
