Re: pkg/50957: can't install php-pgsql when php-7 is installed

How did you try to install that?

In particular, did you set
PHP_VERSION_DEFAULT=70
in your /etc/mk.conf?

Otherwise, by default, only the 55 version will be built.

My /etc/mk.conf is empty. I simply use

cd /usr/pkgsrc/databases/php-pgsql
make install

If I add the line to mk.conf it works! Thank you.

So far I have not needed the mk.conf. The packages have recognized previously installed versions of programs and then used them.

How is the defined behavior of pkgsrc? Do I have to define such cases manually or will alreday installed package versions be detected and used?

Thank you for your efforts

Uwe
