Under X, almost all of the buttons (Save, Open, ... rest of others except Read-Directory) are missing their pixmaps, and they all use same default icon.

I see errors in the xterm emacs was started such as:

 Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'document-new' for stock: Icon 'document-new' not present in theme Adwaita

(emacs:783): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'document-open' for stock: Icon 'document-open' not present in theme Adwaita

(emacs:783): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'window-close' for stock: Icon 'window-close' not present in theme Adwaita

(emacs:783): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'edit-undo' for stock:

pkg_info says these versions are installed (yes there are 2 different versions of gtk installed):
emacs24-24.5nb1
gtk2+-2.24.28
gtk3+-3.16.3

I compiled the system with build.sh and 
 MKX11=yes
in /etc/mk.conf and all the packages where compiled and installed from my machine.   emacs seems to work fine otherwise.

Correctly specify path to pixmaps during emacs build would be my guess, but I'm not sure
