In order to use pkgdep, an INDEX file apparently needs to be generated, so 
during a 'bmake index' at pkgsrc top I notice that gcc (for some reason) can't 
be found, whereas by definition if gcc is not in PATH then it should be found 
in $GCCBASE/bin/gcc (where GCCBASE is in mk.conf).
