 That's probably not it.  I've pulled something like 8000 files from this 
 computer over the last week (rebuilding a distfiles directory from 
 scratch)  The only other problem I've had is that the transfer is so 
 slow that the server "loses the session" so that a 100M file will 
 complete but not verify.  I think those FTP servers just have a too 
 short timeout, this one doesn't even start a transfer.
