Re: pkg/45650 (cad/simian, cad/simian-docs: distfile unavailable, likely forever)

The following reply was made to PR pkg/45650; it has been noted by GNATS.

We've nearly reached the deadline to remove these packages:

 Updated pkgsrc guide section 19.1.5:
"Please note that packages will to be removed from pkgsrc when the
distfiles are not distributable and cannot be obtained for a period of
one full quarter branch. Packages with manual / interactive fetch must
have a maintainer and it is his/her responsibility to ensure this."

  From this PMC decision:
 http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2012/05/26/msg009405.html

It was actually in violation as soon as the decision was made, but since
Dan was actively looking for the author it didn't hurt to slide another
 quarter.

Assuming nothing has changed, can we remove these packages before the
 upcoming freeze?
