I also have the problem with dbus-glib (and others) not building on 
NetBSD-5.1.1 (and 5.1.2) for amd64.  For what it's worth, it appears to build 
successfully with the 2011Q4 sources, not -current and it seems to be related 
to the recent changes to GLIB2.  The current version of GLIB2 doesn't install 
or deinstall cleanly and many packages built against it dump core.
