The point of the buildlink system is to hide stuff that isn't explicitly
made available via depending on it in pkgsrc. If you need to do what
you describe, it's a bug; however, since this PR is five years old and
doesn't include any mention of which packages are missing or what is
not working, I'm going to close it. If you're still there and reading
this and still have problems, please file new PRs.
