The recent commits to x11/gtk2 appear to have fixed this problem.
Now, however, wxGTK24 (others?) configuration fails with:
checking for TIFFError in -ltiff... yes
checking for GTK+ version...
checking for pkg-config...
checking for GTK+ - version >= 2.0.0... no
*** Could not run GTK+ test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK+ is incorrectly installed.
Please check that gtk-config is in path, the directory
where GTK+ libraries are installed (returned by
'gtk-config --libs' command) is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH or
equivalent variable and GTK+ is version 1.2.3 or above.
*** Error code 1
make: stopped in /d0/nbsd/pkgsrc/x11/wxGTK24
'gtk-config' is not installed.
This, so far, only happens on NetBSD-5.1_RC4. It works fine on -current
