 Your patch fixes the problem, but isn't a complete fix for the package.
 When I went to test it, all that happened was that the (broken) binary
 package I'd built last December was installed.   I use pkg_comp using
 the "bin-install" target setting, so an exxisting binary package (of
 the correct version) is always used (well, mostly always used) rather
 that compiling from source.
 
 A revbump is needed - the constructed package now is different than it
 was before.    Bump the revision, then this PR can close.
