 What's MACHINE_ARCH set to? From what I can tell the Irix bootstrap
 should wire this to mipseb, and the pkgsrc logic should preserve that
 into MACHINE_GNU_ARCH also. Evidently something broke... if (as it
 appears) it changed when you re-bootstrapped, you'll probably need to
 bootstrap again, and have that come up with "mipseb" again, to make it
 behave properly everywhere.
 
 I guess the first question actually is whether this still happens at
 all. Maybe try running a fresh bootstrap into a temporary directory?
