math/octave core duped on NetBSD x86

I have built octave on my NetBSD 5.0.1 - 2009Q4, but it doesn't work.
Neither my pkgsrc build nor the binary package. On 2009Q3 it even
didn't compile.

Just starting octave and it crashes yielding
two files octave-3.2.3.core and octave-core. The output says:

$ octave
