 Jens - I'm sorry. I've left Berklee and no longer have access to that 
 email address. But this one (@zabrico.com) should work for ever.
 
 This PR is ancient (late 2006/early 2007 is when I was having this 
 problem.) IIRC, I was using GCC at the time. The patch/digest problem 
 had been resolved, but there were other problems using gcc. I pretty 
 much ended up holding off with pkgsrc on AIX until I got my old boss to 
 spring for xlC for AIX. That works much much better.
 
 Unfortunately, since leaving Berklee, it also means I no longer have 
 access to an AIX system :(, at least for now.
