      Yes, I know.  The update wasn't intended to fix it.  I need
 to give some thought to how to deal with this without dragging in
 LDAP stuff when it's unwanted, but allow it to be available when
 LDAP is built-in to a system (or the user specifically enables an
 ldap option).
