>Description:
This is an enhancement suggestion for the pkgsrc system.

Currently, packages that come with rc.d scripts populate the
/usr/pkg/share/examples/rc.d/ directory accordingly.

A manual step is required to transfer these scripts to /etc/rc.d/ which is
fine, but some discussion in irc.freenode.net#netbsd today revealed concern
from some administrators/users regarding mixing pkgsrc stuff with the stock
system.

>How-To-Repeat:
Not applicable.

>Fix:
If pkgsrc could place these files (or copies) in /usr/pkg/etc/rc.d/ and ensure
the system is updated to use this path as a secondary when the needed control
script isn't found in the usual /etc/rc.d/ directory.

Note: The pkgsrc system seems to update the PATH environment variable
automatically, so configuring a secondary "etc/rc.d/" directory might be most
appropriately executed at this time.

Thanks in advance.
