 devel/subversion-base did build for me the last six months on Solaris 10 
 and OpenSolaris. Now I get exactly the same error reported 2,5 years 
 ago. Is BROKEN_GETTEXT_DETECTION not working any more?
 
 Similar to the original poster, this change
 
 LDFLAGS.SunOS+=                -lintl
 
 fixed the problem for me.
 
 I recently noticed in some other configure runs (not here, though) 
 warnings like "unknown option --with-libintl-prefix". Have there been 
 changes to autoconf lately?
