 Yep - that seems to have fixed it!
 
 (Incidentally, should some protection be put upon bootstrap-mk-files?   
 If you try to update it, the build process first removes the files,  
 and then bmake fails (due to these files missing) before it can re- 
 install them.  Manually copying the files fixes this - but this is  
 messy. I seem to remember that some package (pkg_install itself?) is  
 marked as not to be uninstalled - could the same be added to bmake and  
 its dependencies?)
