I can still confirm that this is broken (but differently) on 4.99.53.
With nautilus-connect-server, if I click "Browse Network", Totem
 launches and says:

    An error occurred
The playback of this movie requires a NETWORK protocol source plugin
 which is not installed.

There is a 'network:' entry left in the totem playlist.

If I try to connect to a share directly, by selecting 'Windows share'
for Service type, and the hostname in the Server field, an icon for the
share shows up on my desktop, but Totem is again launched with:

    An error occurred
Could not determine type of stream.

And the playlist is filled with a directory listing of the share.

Once I close Totem, I can browse the CIFS share just fine.

 Cheers,
 Jared
