 As of pkgsrc-current, the problem described in this PR still exists.
 
 It also affects MacOS X 10.2.8.  Additionally, on MacOS X 10.2.8
 lacks "poll.h".  Poll support would need to be implemented using
 "fakepoll.h" in a similar fashion as described in pkg/30129.
