>Description:
Under heavy load, smbd crashes and file transfer activity stops. /etc/rc.d/samba restart starts it again.
While doing copies of about 5000 files (average 3MB) from one directory to another directory of the same SMB mounted disk from a Windows XP machine, after about 4000 files, it becomes impossible to access the SMB disk hosted on the NetBSD server. Process smbd has disappeared from process list. Restarting samba makes the disk accessible again.
