 Dear Joerg,
 I would disagree.
 The current framework just works out of the box and does even better 
 with the given patch.
 I agree that BULKFILESDIR is much more flexible.
 But I don't see a way to make it work out of the box.
 So removing the other approach will put another burden on bulk building 
 beginners.
 On the other hand, the BULKFILESDIR approach will work in the presence 
 of  the patch.
 
 So please consider to improve the old approach and drop a note on the 
 BULKFILESDIR approach in the pkgsrc-guide.
 Should I write a paragraph or two on the topic of simultaneous builds on 
 the same pkgsrc-tree?
