Ping! :-) Minus the scripted rc.subr p4d, I think the new binary is a
huge step up from the old. Any chance I could get this patch committed?
I wrote to tech-pkg and they had a wonderful idea for the rc.subr p4d,
but implementing it would probably be quite difficult. As for the
rc.subr mechanism itself, the most I got in comments was someone
saying "Neat!" In the meanwhile, we might as well commit the new
binaries. If a new pkgsrc entry is needed which doesn't include the
rc.subr example rc.d script, I can make one of those too and save you
the trouble?
