 I am checking again.   I have both those patches, and I think I had
 both of them when I confirmed that the problem still existed before
 I sent the PR this morning (as I said, I confirmed this using Makefile
 version 1.5 which seems to have been created more recently than those
 patches - I also have, and used, the recently updated version of
 patch-ba, which looks to coincide with Makefile 1.5).  (That is, the nb2 vers).
 
 	[30 mins later approx...]
 
 Compilation attempt terminated - same problem as in the PR.  The
 access time on patch-bu and patch-bt indicates they were applied
 (at the same time, to the nearest minute, as all the others).
 
 The build log doesn't indicate any problems with applying the
 patches.
 
 Thanks for looking at this, but it doesn't appear to be fixed yet.
