Maybe this is related:
Have a look at textproc/libxml2/patches/patch-ac and patch-ad.
And then look at textproc/xmlcatmgr/buildlink3.mk
In textproc/libxml2 run:
make show-vars VARNAMES="PKG_SYSCONFDIR.xmlcatmgr SGML_DEFAULT_CATALOG XML_DEFAULT_CATALOG PKG_SYSCONFBASEDIR"
But I don't see this wrong values with custom PKG_SYSCONFBASE.
I even used custom PKG_SYSCONFBASE and from a clean libxml2 it appeared to
do correct thing for work/libxml2-2.6.27/catalog.c
So maybe this is not related ...
