Synopsis: dump takes modulo 10 dump level

For the record: more than 9 incremental dumps sound like a real pain to restore!
But: could you please change the patch so it does not turn all the option 
handling into string operations, and also verify this does not change
the file format? (Doesn't look like it would, but we need to be sure)
