 much has changed since i reported this bug
 and i would not be suprised if this bug isn't there anymore
 given that pkgsrc has been far improved...
 
 however i cannot test on Irix anymore since i do not have replacements
 parts for my SGI O2... but given that nobody seems to have hit this bug,
 i'm guessing its not present anymore...
