 So pkgsrc tests are not expected to succeed?
 
 I build all my packages with PKGSRC_RUN_TEST?=yes, and especially on
 sparc64, it's very good to know if a package actually passes its own
 self tests.
 
 So I find this very annoying if a package can't even *run* its own
 self tests due to Makefile issues.
 
 (BTW: glib2 doesn't pass their self tests on NetBSD/sparc64 either, 
 but I wanted to open up a second bug for this, as soon as the 
 underlying "make test infrastructure" is fixed).
