>Description:

The OpenOffice packages come with dot.desktop files for
integration with desktop environments like KDE, Gnome, XFCE
v4.2. Unfortunately, they are not useful as shipped, because

        - both OO versions do not install the files to the canonical
        location {PREFIX}/share/applications.

        - the OO v2 files in {PREFIX}/openoffice.org2.0/share/xdg/
want to call an "openoffice.org-2.0", which is nowhere in
        sight.

        Banana packages?

>How-To-Repeat:

Install OpenOffice pkg, have your users complain about OO not
being listed in {K, Gnome} menus and other well-known places.

>Fix:
        Install dot.desktop files to {PREFIX}/share/applications/.
Patch v2 dot.desktop files to exec 'soffice' instead.
        Test package.
        Pull up fix to pkgsrc-2006Q1.
