Please try to build graphics/gimp again and save the output (include 
stderr also). And email the error message to pkgsrc-users (not 
pkgsrc-bugs) mailing list.

If using a bourne shell do something like:

  cd /usr/pkgsrc/graphics/gimp
  make clean-depends clean
  make install 2>&1 | tee make.out


(Do not send entire out put to mailing list, but maybe just five or so 
lines around the errors near the end.)

This list, pkgsrc-bugs, is not used for reporting bugs. (It is used by the 
gnats system.)
