>Description:
When installing firefox-1.5.0.1.tgz self-compiled via pkg_comp,
an apparently needed executable is not found. Neither seems it to be
present in the chroot area. Is it really needed, and if not,
why the error message?

If you have ever run another version of firefox or firefox-gtk2, you
must remove compreg.dat under your firefox profile before you run firefox.
e.g. rm ~/.mozilla/firefox/*/compreg.dat
